Serving / United States

A closer partner
wherever you are.

Senior web, app and platform engineering for US teams, with real overlap hours.

Time zones
ET through PT
Overlap
Four to six hours daily with ET, two to four with PT
Cities we work with
  • New York
  • Boston
  • Chicago
  • Austin
  • San Francisco

We work with US companies from a remote-first team with deliberate East Coast overlap. In practice that means a same-day response cycle for New York and Boston, and a working afternoon shared with Chicago and Austin.

The technical expectations differ from Europe in a few specific ways: ADA exposure makes accessibility a legal priority, state-level sales tax makes commerce configuration fiddlier, and enterprise procurement asks for SOC 2 evidence earlier in the process.

Local detail

What working in United States
actually involves.

01

ADA and Section 508

Accessibility litigation risk is materially higher in the US, so WCAG 2.2 AA conformance is treated as a build requirement rather than an enhancement.

02

Sales tax and nexus

Economic nexus rules mean commerce work needs automated tax calculation from launch rather than as a later fix.

03

Enterprise diligence

Security questionnaires and SSO requirements arrive earlier in US enterprise deals than most teams expect.

04

Contracting

We contract in USD, invoice on net terms, and can work under your MSA and W-8 documentation.

Typical engagements

What United States teams
bring us most often.

01B2B SaaS marketing sites rebuilt around technical evaluation
02ADA remediation programmes ahead of, or following, a demand letter
03Shopify and headless commerce work with multi-state tax handling
04Internal platforms replacing spreadsheet operations
How a week runs
  • Monday: written plan lands before your East Coast morning
  • Tuesday to Thursday: overlap window from 9am ET for calls and pairing
  • Friday: demo recording and updated backlog, so Monday starts with decisions
Contracting

USD invoicing on net-30, W-8BEN-E on file, and we work under your MSA, DPA and security addendum. Anything we cannot accept is flagged in the first review rather than at signature.

Overlap

Four to six hours daily with ET, two to four with PT

Practicalities

Working with us from United States.

Yes for Eastern and Central time, where we overlap for most of your working day. For Pacific time we hold a late-afternoon window and schedule the rest asynchronously with written updates, which most teams find preferable to a compressed call schedule.

Usually. We work under client agreements regularly, including security addenda, data processing terms and non-solicitation clauses. Anything we cannot accept, we flag in the first review rather than at signature.

Same studio, same standard

What does not change
across borders.

Everything on the Oakstone.digital services list is available to United States teams on the same terms: the same senior lead, the same written decision records, the same ownership of code and infrastructure at the end.

What the market changes is sequence and emphasis — which compliance obligations are load-bearing, when a security questionnaire arrives, which payment methods are non-negotiable, and how the working week is arranged around yours.
