Why there is no consent banner
Consent banners exist because most sites load trackers that legally require permission. We do not load them, so there is nothing to ask you about — and a banner that appears anyway is theatre that costs every visitor a click.
UK and EU rules require consent for any storage that is not strictly necessary for a service you asked for. Our measurement stores nothing on your device at all, which is what keeps this page short.
What is actually stored
Two things, and only one of them is a cookie in the ordinary sense.
- Strictly necessary — a session cookie set only if you submit the contact form, used to protect the form against automated abuse. Expires when you close the browser.
- Preference — a local storage value remembering interface choices such as reduced motion. Persistent until you clear site data, never transmitted to us.
- Analytics — none stored. Page measurement is performed without a cookie or device identifier.
- Advertising and social — none. There is no remarketing tag, no conversion pixel and no embedded social widget on this site.
Third-party requests your browser makes
Two external hosts serve assets to your browser: a font provider and an image CDN. Neither sets a cookie for us, but both necessarily see your IP address and user agent as part of serving the request, and both operate under their own privacy terms.
If you block third-party requests entirely, the site still renders — typography falls back to a system font stack and imagery is replaced by its alt text.
How to control cookies
Every major browser lets you block or clear cookies and site data, and several offer stricter tracking protection by default. Because nothing here depends on a persistent cookie, blocking ours costs you nothing but a re-set interface preference.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour both signals. Since we run no cross-site tracking, honouring them changes nothing about what we collect — which is the point of stating it rather than staying quiet.

Requests under this policy, questions about a clause, or a disagreement with something in it all go to the same place and are answered by a person within thirty days — usually considerably sooner.
